Little Mr started a new school term this morning
so of course had to have the obligatory photo
My goodness hes going to be tall...just like his Daddy
Little Miss loves being back at school...
and is trying out to be MP... the class prefect..
She made a bead head band to try and get her classmates to vote for her..
but she confided in me that she doesn't mind if she doesnt win...
she wants her friend to get it..
Back home MrD mowed the front lawn in readiness for our trip tomorrow.
The front of the house always looks nice....

More than can be said about the back..
Our new neighbours ( the ones who demolished the rat infested shed...without first getting rid of the rodents) Have decided they want to put up a wooden fence up... on their side of the mesh fence.
So last week they cut down all the ivy and most of foliage that provided privacy between our houses. They left bits of branches that were woven between mesh.. so MrD said if they are still there when we get back he will remove them himself.
But what has upset me a bit...is they have killed the beautiful old tree that gives so much shade and character to the garden. The base of the tree is on their side of the fence... even thought it weaves through it...so they have a right to so it. But oh my! What a shame.. it was so pretty ...and the birds love it...
We will have to have a rethink on how we want the garden to look... minus that beautiful tree
