Mail Call MrD...

It may be a little late...
but to see hubbys face when he opened the card..
 was well worth the wait.
There may not be a blood bond between them..
but he sure loves that little girl

Superb Saturday....

Oh boy!.. What a full day..and I enjoyed every second. This morning was my first time in the Quilting Club.. making quilts for the newborn..elderly...and to be quite honest..anyone who needs one for comfort.
All that lovely fabric. Fabric is my candy! They were a great bunch of people..and I learned so much..and I think I have a new passion. I always thought quilting was complicated but even the most simple to make are so pretty.. I'm going to give it a go at home
Then Hubby and I did a little bit of grocery shopping and went for a lunch at our favourite Mexican restaurant. Absolutely delicious and so filling I didnt want to eat for the rest of the day
And to end the day we went to watch the Angels play in Anaheim. They were holding their Christmas in June Toy Drive
The toys collected will be given to children from local nonprofit organizations during the Kids Holiday Party in December
We had great seats...
plus we got to see Santa throw the first ball...
and watch his reindeer eat the grass..

and were treated to an amazing firework display.
Cant wait for the real Christmas in December

Important Decisions...

Im so glad Miss C and Mr P have decided to have Little Miss christened. As well as giving her a name.. she will be a fully pledged child of Heavenly Father.
After some careful consideration.. they have chosen some wonderful Godparents and I am so happy they have chosen Mr J and Miss V.
With their own baby due in a few weeks... I know they will be amazing

First Class Kid ....

I was at a loss what to write today as I havent done any thing special... havent bought anything new...or tried any new recipes. I should have had more Faith as the Lord will always prompt me. I was thinking of writing something about my grandson because he hasnt been mentioned for a while.. and lo and behold... about an hour ago ... my son sent a pic of Little H displaying all the badges he had won at the school sports day.  Three firsts and a third!!
Well done my Lad..
Nana is very proud

Whats For Dinner ~ Meal Plan Monday

Another week...another Monday. Is it me or is June passing very quickly. Summer is here..and boy am I feeling it. But... I promised I wouldnt complain about the heat after being so cold back in the UK.

This week I have some new activities planned. As well as the usual round of and walking.. on Thursday our church Ladies Bible Study will start meeting outside in a local park for the Summer. It will make a lovely change...but I best take a hat! And on Saturday morning.. I will be joining a monthly Quilting group making quilts for for newborns and the sick. Although I sew.. I have never quilted. It should be fun.

Just one more thing...Im not  a complainer... but I notice that many of my past posts have either reverted to draft or all the photos have disappeared. Im a bit disappointed as my blog is like my diary. So I apologise that over the next few days some of my old posts might reappear in your reading list. Im not sure if that will happen..but if it does please just ignore

Have a great week

To All the Dads....

Happy Fathers Day
All the Dads in Heaven...
 Like my Dad...
For the love, laughter, concern and sacrifices
and who I love and miss very much
 MrD's Dad..
who I never met but who I had a wonderful chat with
on the phone not long before he passed..
and reminded me so much of my dad
I liked him very much
To the Dads like Mr M with Little H
who have been at it for a while ..
and make it look easy...
To the new Dads like Mr P with Little Miss..
who spend their days in a daze and
really dont know whats hit them.....
And the soon to be Dads like Mr J with his niece Little Miss..
who judging by the way he is with this little one..
will be an amazing Daddy in a few weeks
And lastly..
to the Dads like my MrD...
who never had children of his own...
but stepped up to the plate to become the
Friend, Confidant and Role Model
my children missed

To you all ...have a wonderful day..
Thank you for being the Dads that you are
and remember how much you are loved
