Wedding Facetime...

 

So I got myself all dolled up...

Grabbed my Chocolate Strawberries

and at midnight Facetimed the Uk...

and discovered the prettiest little flower girl .

As I watched her getting into her dress 

I realized Facetime catches every candid shot.. emotion.. and weird facial expression..

as my younger son can testify to as the tears flowed as he saw his little sister

We both felt the same way about not being able to be at her wedding..

And the tears flowed for me too ...as the happy couple exchanged their vows..

although it made me laugh when all the flower girl wanted to do was talk to Nana..

At least Little Mr waited til after the ceremony..

although he was more interested in his colouring book

Afterwards..the two youngest guests looked after the koi in the pond..

Assisted  the photographer...

and helped with the music

We couldnt have got through the day without them

Such a happy boy on his third birthday...

so happy he didnt notice that Mummy used Christmas wrapping paper!

But as in all things...its whats inside that matters...

especially his new balance bike.

Pizza with mummy as Daddy is away with work..

Then Birthday cake at Auntie C's with Little Miss later..

Then this cheeky face can rest ready for his debut at the wedding on Thursday...

Something tells me..he's going to be fun to watch..

Whats For Dinner ~ Meal Plan Monday

Happy Monday from a wonderfully rainy Blue House.. Yes its raining...actually its bucketing down... and I have already been standing in it. Its been months...and its amazing

Well happy isn’t exactly the right word to describe this week... its more bitter sweet. Right now I should be in England.. celebrating my grandsons third birthday tomorrow.. and of course my daughters wedding on Thursday. But because of restrictions I can’t fly to the uk.. so I will have to be there in spirit.. and watch on zoom. I’m very sad.. not just for me but for her.. as hardly any family are able to attend.. and every girl needs their mother with her on her Big Day. I’m sure there will be lots of tears that day.. on both sides of the pond.

Also.. after a lovely weekend at home.. where MrD and I worked in the garden.. we had friends visit.. and our lovely neighbour brought us homemade tamales.. today I ended up with a trip to Urgent Care. I have been relentlessly bitten my all kinds of insects over the last few days.. even though I wear repellent.. but my legs are in a terrible state.. and I now have cellulitis in both of them .. very itchy.. and very painful! No walking for me.. and just after I found a new walking partner

Laid Back Saturday...

After a busy week...we had a more relaxing Saturday..

I planted up that flower bed in front of the house..

while MrD took measurements to make a cover for faucet and wiring

After mowing the lawns... he washed his prize possession (no not me!).

And before we relaxed for the afternoon...
our lovely neighbour brought us some homemade tamales to try

They were delicious... AND I even remembered to take off the corn husk
