My sister in law makes the best pulled pork. When we stayed with them last year she made a huge crock potful which fed us all.. and some..
So when I asked MrD what he’d like me to add to my menu plan.. he said pulled pork like Kerrys
Being the good wife that I am.. I went ahead and made pulled CHICKEN… which didn’t taste any thing like my sister in laws.. but it was still pretty darn good..
Oh... and MrD loved it.
Here’s the recipe
Slow Cooker Honey Barbeque Chicken
This recipe goes a long way… with whatever toppings and sides you like. I served it on toasted buns with some red onion, Pepper Jack cheese for MrD and a side of creamy coleslaw.
It freezes lovely.. so I divided the leftovers into freezer bags which will feed us for a couple more meals
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
one 18 ounce bottle Honey Barbecue Sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray’s)
one 18 ounce bottle Honey Barbecue Sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray’s)
1/2 cup Italian Salad Dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Place chicken in a slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire.
- Pour sauce over the chicken and cover with lid.
- Cook 6-8 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high.
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.
- Return the chicken to the slow cooker to coat with sauce and serve on kaiser rolls.

Sounds so good! And bonus that it freezes well too.
