So.......

My oncologist appointment didnt go quite as planned.
The doctor has a few concerns so I have to go see a gynecologist,
have a scan of my chest, stomach and pelvis and have more blood tests.
Im sure theres nothing drastically wrong..
but whatever they find I know we will get through it...
again

A Gentle Reminder...

Its coming up to the one year anniversary of my remission from Ovarian Cancer. I still have tests every three months to make sure its staying away. I still dont understand how I can still get OC when I dont have any ovaries...but  I will let that one go...lol

I notice my social media news feed always has posts encouraging ladies to have cervical smears. They are really important but I just want to remind you ladies....A SMEAR TEST DOES NOT DETECT OVARIAN CANCER!! You have to look for its symptoms. Its called the 'Silent Killer' as many dont get diognosed until stage 4..and then it's usually too late. I was lucky...I was stage three when I was told I had cancer.. My doctor had missed it and had been treating me for divaticulitis. Not his fault...the symptoms are the same as advanced stage OC. Its only when the pain became horrendous and I started to bleed did they find my tumour which was bigger than a baseball. Surgery and chemo kicked it to the curb... and I thank God every day for His blessing!

Ladies...dont be afraid to ask questions when you go for your smear test.... if you have any concerns see your doctor (you KNOW when your body dosnt feel right) and please please get regular mammograms!

You only have one life... dont lose it

Moon...Walk...

Did anyone watch the Lunar Elcipse on Sunday night... and gasp at the Blood Moon. I did... and was in awe at Gods masterpiece. I tried to take a photo.. but it came out a bit fuzzy.
I have noticed on my walks the last couple of mornings,
that the moon has been much brighter and clearer
and seems to be much bigger
And makes it look later than 5.30
Did you manage to take any good pics?

Whats For Dinner? ~ Meal Plan Monday

Another weekly Dinner plan done. Meal planning isnt for everyone but it really helps me. Its not set in stone so the meals can be moved around.. but its a good guide. It helps that I have a written list when I go shopping... and therefore helps us to keep within a budget. It also helps that I know what we are eating and to get things out of the freezer in time to defrost. It also helps that if..on the rare occasion hubby wants to have input... I can cook something he fancies. Or on an even rarer occasion... he goes shopping..he dosnt come back with an extra bag of chips and peanuts and 'forgets' the veggies. Now thats a HUGE help

So here's this weeks offering.... I hope it helps (winks)

Weekly Plan - 21st January 2019

Monday              Chicken Stir Fry

Tuesday              Chicken Tacos

Wednesday        Breakfast for Dinner including O'Brien Potatoes

Thursday           Chunky Vegetable Soup

Friday
Hawaiian Turkey Burgers

Saturday            Dinner Out with Hubby

Sunday               Celery Soup, Home made Bread

Sweet Stitching...

Having a week of heavy rain hasnt bothered me at all. It meant I could stay at home.. get a couple of well needed chores done... and spend a couple hours every afternoon with a classic movie and a spot of stitching for my Etsy shop.
This week I have been working on my Bambi collection... which are in different stages of completion. I have made the ribbon rosebuds myself as I wanted blue 'leaves'...I think they work.

I think they are quite sweet.. if I may say so myself... and will be in my shop next week

Where Has The Time Gone??

Its hard to believe that this little cutie is 10 months old today.
It was a complete privilege to be present when she came into the world
and its an utter joy watching her grow into a happy, smart and cheeky little girl
Although..I'm not sure shes that happy getting older..

Nana absolutely understands that feeling very well Baby Girl
