We had a worrying weekend with Miss V ending up in hospital after getting food poisoning from eating a burger from a fast food restaurant. She was in terrible pain, had a high temperature, high blood pressure and couldn't keep anything down. They had terrible trouble getting the IV in but then had lots of saline infusions as she was so dehydrated.
She was kept in overnight...and today is feeling much better. She has her sense of humour back. And...Little Pickle is perfectly fine..
Thank goodness!!!!
And also on the medical front....
The first visit by the midwife is never really a good one.
Why?
Because of the dreaded heel prick to test babies blood.
Its always worse for the parents I think as its awful to hear your baby cry.
But Mr P and Miss C did well... not too many tears..
And as for Little Miss.. shes thriving!
