Man Cave..Or Should I Say... Shed

So I have finally met Miss V's family...

and it was long overdue

At one point I was led to the garden ...

and taken to Mr V's ordinary looking shed

 Inside it was ordinary no longer...

 cosy couches in front of a wood burning stove..

and a satellite television

 A well stocked bar...

with all kinds of nuts...

 candies...

and a fridge full of soda, beer, wine and chocolate

Miss V's parents were extremely nice....

but I'm not showing MrD these photos........

Future Super Model.....

So...what does a new mum do when her baby is three days old... 

she organizes a photo shoot.

Little Miss was very bored with it all and wasnt very co operative..

But a few cuddles from Daddy calmed her down

but the photos which came today ...

and there were many more.. 

turned out beautiful

Cooking For the Kids

I love being back with my kids.. and as every mum knows.. 

a big part of being a mum is cooking. 

It's great cooking for a big family again...and I've made lots for the freezer..

Shepherds pies, 

stews, 

pasta and tuna...

and of course Miss Cs favourite 

Potato Topped Chicken Pie. 

All family favourites.. and lots of "comfort food". 

Its going to be a big change being back to cooking for two..

Another Needle....

Miss C had a phone call from the midwife...

She needed to take another blood sample from Little Miss.

Apparently the first sample wasnt packaged properly and was spoiled

No one was happy about it..especially Little Miss..

But a few cuddles from Nana made things better

Such a Brave Girl...And So Is Baby!!

We had a worrying weekend with Miss V ending up in hospital after getting food poisoning from eating a burger  from a fast food restaurant. She was in terrible pain, had a high temperature, high blood pressure and couldn't keep anything down. They had terrible trouble getting the IV in but then had lots of saline infusions as she was so dehydrated. 

She was kept in overnight...and today is feeling much better. She has her sense of humour back. And...Little Pickle is perfectly fine..

Thank goodness!!!! 

And also on the medical front....
The first visit by the midwife is never really a good one. 

Why? 

Because of the dreaded heel prick to test babies blood. 

Its always worse for the parents I think as its awful to hear your baby cry. 

But Mr P and Miss C did well... not too many tears..

And as for Little Miss.. shes thriving!

My Privilege

Yesterday...I was privileged to be able to go with

 Miss V and Mr J for Little Pickles scan

It was quite emotional seeing him on the screen.

He looked like he was sucking his thumb to begin with..

then I swear he turned his head to look at us
