Birthday week... Day 3...
Remembering my wonderful..strong.. outspoken... hard working mother who ruled with a firm hand and a heart of gold. My Uncle Gareth didnt call her the "The Ayatollah" for nothing
She loved her family..her garden..her cats....... and her cigarettes. She once said she would rather die having one than wanting one... and she did...literally. She died so suddenly that I have never really got over it. She went away on holiday...and never came home.
But she left us with so many memories. We were taught respect and good values in a spotlessly clean home.. were dressed and fed well.. and given a good life..even tho there was not much money, And Christmas!!. I remember every one. Not for the presents.. but for the traditions...warmth and festive spirit that filled our home.
Happy Birthday Mum... Lots of Love. Thank you for everything...
Though Im not too sure about the one recurring... wiry ginger hair on my chin!!
Until we meet again xxx
Such a nice tribute to your mum!
