Just a quick post while I can, as the power keeps going off. Wales is having some severe weather.
This is the first time a red warning has been issued this winter.
Gales exceeding 100mph are forecast for the Welsh coast and the Met
Office has advised people to "take action", warning of widespread
structural damage, fallen trees, loss of power and large waves . I live right in the centre of that red area...on the coast.
There are now at least 87,000 homes in Wales without
power. Schools closed early. There are roofs in the middle of roads, trees blown on to cars,
no main roads open in parts of the country and virtually no trains
running. One of the two bridges leading to the island has been closed, the other is not allowing high sided vehicles.
We have moved what we can to safe areas, and tied things down, but things are still hitting the house. Candles and flashlights are out ready in case the power goes off again.
I will be back with you all again tomorrow when everything is hopefully a little calmer
Love and Hugs

ReplyDeletePraying for safety during this time. We will look forward to hearing from you to learn you and your home are both ok.
