Friday April 26th

It wasnt expected... but it rained again today,

It was grey and misty over the hills

but the garden loves it..

The flowers are are flourishing

and look so pretty glistening with raindrops

and the bottle brush tree is just exploding with colour.

And even though its raining... when my dear hubby got home from work he filled up the truck with the excess soil from the front yard. Once a month the city lets you dump your garden waste for free... and thats tomorrow...so he's ready

Looking through the kitchen window I saw an unexpected visitor... a little bird sitting on our hanging basket.. happily pecking away. Last year we had a birds nest in our basket.. and watched the eggs hatch and followed the chicks growth until they eventually flew away. But... not this year buddy... the basket is not for rent..

And nothing cheers me up on a dreary day than talking with the grandkids. Little Mr showed off his second wobbly tooth and told us he was expecting lots of money off the tooth fairy! Little Miss was already for Football practice. She was overheard assuring her little friend on the phone that she still loved her.. and would see her at school on Monday... but for now she had to concentrate on scoring goals.. so she can be famous! Shes six....so heaven help us!

As for Little Tufty.. shes just happy playing in the bath and reading a couple of books before bed

I consider my grey day... full of happy colours again
