Let the Work Begin...Please...

 So ..yet again..yesterday didnt go quite as planned. I waited all day for the phone call to say we had closed. Then just before four oclock we got this email.

Mrs. Dasovich,

 We just received a phone call from the Title Company with some unfortunate news, the recording service that handles the recording of documents through the County Recorder went down this afternoon and they will not be able to record today.  We have been told it should be up and running for Monday morning recordings, we apologize for the delay and will keep you posted on that.

After realizing that we wouldnt be able to get to the house to do the work in time for the termite company...and inwardly screaming for a few seconds.. I called the Realtor and told her what happened. She told us not to panic.. she had an idea and she would get back to us asap

Half an hour later she got back to us. She told us that normally its recommended that buyers don’t go on to the property until closing for liability reasons.

But she let them know you have that the tenting was scheduled and mainly you were going to work on removing the bad wood in readiness.She told us she got permission to do the preparing but the seller did not want us to go inside the prop not to even potty. Again for reasons of liability.

So we had to write and fax her a letter saying we were unable to close and that we took all responsibility for any injury to ourself and others.. which we promptly did... so...

Early this morning we arrived at the house... and began tearing down the structure...

First tearing off the  tar covering..

Then the sheeting..

Thirsty work working in full sunshine

After sorting some of the wires..

down came the beams and sides.

All the while everything was cut up and carried to the truck

By one o'clock the truck was full and 

it was just too hot to carry on..but...

A job well done!

 but just enough time to cut back the front hedge a foot away from the wall

and greet our first visitor.

We drove home tired...hot...sweaty and dirty

but will be back tomorrow to finish off

and load the truck again with the rest of the wood
