Kitchen Work...

Walking out to the front porch to enjoy the first coffee of the day..we discovered a Friday visitor enjoying a sprinkler shower in the early morning sunshine.

You know...I really love this house. In all seven years of being married to this wonderful man and renting homes, we’ve always lived in small, dark apartments with no kitchen window, and no charm. When we started house hunting my biggest stipulation was that our home had to have lots of windows...especially one over the kitchen sink. Lots of light. Lots of potential for brightness and warmth. This house has what my heart  longed for.. the original  kitchen from when it was built in the 1950s...with a couple of modern appliances
Of course ..being so old and it having no modern cabinetry.. we accept a few problems will arise... but with a handyman hubby.. hopefully there will be no big problems. Although.. a small leak started under the sink which MrD decided to tackle before it got worse... and this of course meant another trip to the hardware store.
He soon got it fixed..and it provided a good opportunity to start building up his tool collection... something he hasnt really needed having lived in apartments for so long.
I just wish he hadnt chosen to do it while I was still trying to organise the kitchen!
