Done??..

Yesterday...everything seemed to fall into place. Escrow called early in the morning and said the papers were ready to sign. She apologised for the mix up and said that they had a notary about halfway between here and their office who would be willing to meet us in a Starbucks for example..so we didnt have to make the long trek to their office. When MrD called him to make arrangements.. the notary offered to come to the apartment so we could sign in comfort. So... by 11.30 yesterday morning... all the Closing Documents were completed... and we were given the closing fee figure... which to MrD's great joy.. was less than expected

So all that was left was to get to the bank and transfer the money.... which we did. Escrow emailed us yesterday afternoon and said that they had received the funds..and would be closing some time today. Im not holding my breath... but it looks good. Our realtor has the keys ready to hand over as soon as she gets the nod.

So today MrD has gone to work two hours early.. so he can finish early. Im going to pack some clothes and supplies ready to camp out at the house (inside of course) so we can get the work done in the garden. On the way we will stop and buy a set of ladders... and some other tools needed for the job. I already have the gardening tools I will need. Fingers crossed I will get to use them tomorrow.
