Road Trip to Vegas...

The highlight of MrP's vacation has arrived... our trip to Las Vegas...

and so began an almost 226 mile drive to the city with a few stops on the way
As you know... I absolutely love all things 40s and 50s (hence my love of our Blue House)
so we stopped for brunch at Peggy Sue's
a 'real' 50's diner..
As well as tasty food and playing great music..
its jam packed with photos, memorabilia and souvenirs of all my favourites...
including.. Marilyn,
Lucy...
and Elvis.
Although its a bit disconcerting to have the King watch you as you use the restroom!!!
With the help of grandpa..
Little Miss chose pancakes...which were bigger than her..
but which she thoroughly enjoyed
the rest of us had omelettes..mine being the Jolly Green Giant Veggie...
MrD having The John Wayne.. and Mr P and Mrs C the Godzilla
absolutely lush..but incredibly filling....
There was an added bonus...
a Diner~saur park behind the restaurant
with a couple of 'terrifying' sculptures...
and a copious amount of turtles...
real...
and not so real.
and Im sorry Little Miss.. there is no chance of you getting a coffee..
or a puppy.. as we were off to the next stop...
Whiskey Pete's for for the restrooms and gas....
no alcohol was consumed..but we did go into Starbucks and Pink Box
so Little Miss could choose a donut...
and there was plenty of choice..
so with unicorn donut in hand it was off to the final stop..
a photo op at Seven Magic Mountains
an art exhibition in the middle of the desert
comprising of seven towers of colorful, stacked boulders
standing more than thirty feet high
Its a pity about all the graffiti that has appeared since our last visit
Vegas hasnt changed much since we were last here.
tho this time it will be different as we have a little one with us
So now we have arrived in our hotel rooms safely
and Little Miss is so excited that we are staying in a real life castle
I doubted we would get her to sleep tonight
but we were wrong...
so more about our Vegas experience tomorrow

Love and Hugs
