More Favourites

Its Friday... already?? So its the day we have an opportunity to look back over the week with..
Suzanne at Living to Tell The Tale.
and

and

I have so many blessings in my life..but here are five favourites that stand out from this week.

Sundays
I love Sundays. Its the day I get to spend with MrD. A leisurely breakfast is followed by a morning at church to give thanks for my many blessings, for my renewed health.. and for getting my life back.

Scriptures
The bible means so much to me. Its verses speak to me and guide me.. and have brought me a great deal of comfort over the years, especially during my recent cancer battle. I have various scriptures around the house.. including this one which hubby bought us this week.

Swap Meets
I love swap meets. Last weekend we managed to go to two.. the second one was at Long Beach.. where they had a wonderful display of vintage cars on show. I think Im a pre sixties girl... as shown by my favourite. Plus.. I walked over 8,000 steps... even in 85 degree weather..

Skype
...or in this case..Facebook Messenger. My family are so far away...but I get to experience wonderful.. spontaneous moments like this with Miss C and Little Miss. Isnt technology amazing! Love it !!

Scans
And talking of technology.. Here is the latest scan photo of Little Pickle. Just look at that little face! He is just perfect. I cant believe that  in a couple more weeks and I will have another grandson. I am very blessed.

Love and Hugs

  7. We are so lucky to live with in a technical world.
Just think, wish I could have seen my baby 61 years ago.

  8. I feel the same way about the Bible and my walk with Jesus. My favorite part of facebook and social media is that we get to see our loved ones who are far away. It's so amazing! I have a second grandchild on the way as well. My daughter just called me today to say she heard the heartbeat and all sounds well. We will know if it's a boy or girl in a week or so.

  11. Hi, I'm visiting from Friday Fave Five. It's nice to meet you.

Yes, technology is wonderful. It keeps us close to our loved ones far away. It really makes you feel for previous generations, who immigrated to faraway lands, never to see their precious family again.

That sonogram photo is stunning really. They have come a long way in the 25+ years since I had a baby. You really CAN see the face.

I love Sundays and the Bible too!!

    Blessings,

  13. These cars were great ! I regret that at the time when my son was born you didn't have scan photos not even radiographs ! And I wanted to know so much if it was a girl or a boy. I wanted a girl and what did I get ... a boy, lol !

  14. I love that plaque. It is so nice to have visual reminders of the scriptures we hold dear. A vintage car display would be so fun. Our city has a yearly event of muscle cars (called Street Wheelers Weekend)and that is interesting too. Cars from all over North America come. Love the face timing picture. Sweet moment. And congrats on the coming grandbaby.

I'm wondering if you got my reply to your comment from last week's FFF? I'm trying out the moderation to see if it works with getting and replying to comments.
