Day Trip to York

Time to start sharing some pics of my travels...about time dont you think

During my stay with my brother and his family, my sister in law suggested a day out in the city of York. Of course, the day we chose to go turned out to be wet and windy, but it wasn't going to spoil the enjoyment

York is a beautiful city, rich in heritage, exquisite architecture and quaint shops in a tangle of cobbled streets. Some of the buildings date back to medievel times

Domineering the city, is the beautiful York Minster, one of the largest medieval cathedrals in Northern Europe

The Minster was truly amazing, and I could kick myself for some of the pictures not turning out....Phoebe and new camera is not a good mix

We had a fun time looking around the shops too and afternoon tea was wonderful. More pics tomorrow
