Sunday Thought ~ Mark 10:13-16

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
                                                                  Mark 10 : 13-16

Today I was privileged to attend the Christening of my first grandchild. We brought little Harry before the Lord to  receive his name and be blessed by our Saviour. I am so proud of my son and his wife for the decisions they have made. They have made the promise to raise their son as a disciple of Jesus, show him how to pray and  how to give thanks to the Lord. They will teach him every day about the ways God loves him

Children approach life with such innocence, raw faith and expectation. They depend on others  for their well-being, their security, and their care. To enter the Kingdom of God we have to be as a little child. We have to recognize, we are completely dependent upon our God for our well-being, our security, and provision. We need to totally love, trust and have faith in our Father in Heaven.

It may take time, but its never too late. Run to Him like a small child, so he can touch you, embrace you, hold your hand and calm your fears. Humble yourself. Receive His blessings. Learn from His teachings. And through Him, we will be able to enter our Fathers Kingdom
