When the Boat Comes In

Last weekend, the town was visited by on of the many cruise ships that visit every year. This one was one of the biggest, carrying over 2,500 passengers. I took a walk down to the port to see it arriving.

It pulled into port on a grey and drizzly morning

The town crier was there to greet the passengers

and a Celtic band provided the music entertainment

As the weather brightened up, I took a walk by the Maritime Museum

and looked at the historical artefacts outside

Then, down over the rocks

and onto the beach

I stood watching the waves gently lapping the shore

and thought how pretty everything is
