Today I'm going to join Joyce over at From This Side Of The Pond, for my first ever Wednesday Hodge Podge. I think it will be fun...won't you join me?
1. American Idol is back for it's 14th season. Are you watching? Have you ever watched? If you were to audition for the show (or were made to audition), what song would you sing?
I've never watched American Idol, although there is something similar in the UK. I sed to watch it when it first came out, but it was on at the wrong time for me. I don't think I will be watching American Idol either. If I was on the show..I would be out first round...I can clear a room in 5 seconds with my voice..even though I love to sing. I think I would probably sing something mellow...like the Carpenters 'Superstar'

2. Mark Twain is quoted as saying, "If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."
So when did you last have to 'eat a frog?' Or two? How'd that work out?
Great quote. I don't like to procrastinate..I like to get things over and done with as soon as possible, so much so, hubby has to pull my reigns in a little sometimes. MrD on the other hand is so laid back about getting things done, hes almost horizontal, so needs a bit of encouraging. We try to meet in the middle
3. If you were going on safari, what's the number one animal you'd want to see?
Elephants...definitely elephants. I just love them, especially baby ones...they are so cute.
4. January 21st is National Granola Bar Day. I know. Do you like granola bars? Chewy or crunchy? Your favorite flavor? How about regular granola? Let's exhaust this topic in honor of the 'holiday', okay?
I love granola, but it seems to be quite high in calories, which is no good for me while I'm trying to lose weight. So. I get my 'fix' in bar form..chewy or crunchy it dosnt matter...they both taste yummy. Plus you can find some under 100 calories. I have one for an afternoon snack with a hot drink most days. At the moment my favourite are the ones with oats and honey.
5. If only__________________________________.
...I had looked after myself better in the past...eaten healthier and exercised more, I wouldn't be dieting right now. But 92lb down, I'm not doing too bad.
6. You can add one item to your bedroom. What will it be? Keep it family friendly please.
Our bedroom is quite small. Mr D and I share a reasonable size closet. Its manageable but we would both prefer one of our own. But I guess what I would really love is my own dressing table, preferably vintage, with a nice big mirror and lots of drawers to keep all my make-up and jewelry organized
7. What is one thing you've enjoyed about winter thus far? If it's not winter in your corner of the globe, what season is it, and what is something you've enjoyed about whatever season it happens to be?
Being a Welsh girl who arrived in California mid November...it really dosn't feel like Winter at all. I have spent the last couple of months trying to adjust to the warm weather...and some days have been too darn hot. The good thing about it is that the weather is so beautiful, nothing stops me from going out walking everyday. And its wonderful to see so many beautiful flowers. Oh..and the best bit about Winter...Mr D and I spending our first Christmas together
I am so grateful for Skype. It helps me keep in contact with all my family and friends ...even though they are over 5,000 miles away. Its wonderful to be able to see everyone...and it will be such a blessing to watch my gorgeous grandson as he grows. I have seen so many changes in him already
So thats it...my first Hodgepodge...and I really enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to next week.
Love and Hugs
