John Henry

Its Throwback Thursday...and I'm going waaay back in time.
I love Family History and finding everything I can about my ancestors

John Henry

This is my Great grandfather...John Henry

Bunkers Hill
He was born in 1877 in one of a row of cottages
in Bunkers Hill in Wales,
the second eldest of eight children.
Can you imagine fitting all those people
in such a little home?

The Family
He became a Clay Miner.
Here he is with his wife Elizabeth and five of their ten children..
including my grandfather
John Henry Bithell
John Henry died suddenly at his daughters house, age 68.
Family legend has it that his body was taken by train
to his home village in an orange crate

  7. What treasured family photos you have here! I love to learn about my family history. I have a small sewing kit that my great-great grandfather carried during the Civil War.
