A change of plan today. We were going to go to Huntington Gardens for the afternoon.. but poor MrD got into an accident at work yesterday..The banding on a reel of inch thick steel cable snapped and the cable whipped him across the mouth. He was very lucky it was the side of the cable..and not the sharp edge. Plus a few inches higher he could have been blinded... a few inches lower and it could have cut his throat. We gave a prayer of thanks to the Lord for that. As it is.. he has a deep gash across his bottom lip. Very nasty, very bloody and very sore.
Today will be spent at home to give it chance to start healing... and the swelling to go down. I dont mind as he is working 12 hour shifts again and hes very tired. Plus the temps are set to hit 106F..and 111F... not comfortable walking weather. Poor guy!
So Im going to cut out another couple of aprons from fabric I bought in the Walmart sale last year for $1 each... and start a new Alice heart for my Etsy shop as this one is off to Tennessee.

Poor Mr D! I'm thankful it did now worse damage and will be praying for him.

ReplyDeleteOoh ouch! Praying Mr. D's mouth is healing now and the pain is going away! Wow, God was watching over him for sure in that moment!
