Mexican Treat...

I hope you had a lovely weekend.. its always great for me now as since starting in the new company.. MrD gets every weekend off... something new in our first five years of marriage

Since the pandemic began.. restaurants and fast food joints have remained open for take out... but I have cooked every meal for the last three months. But..this weekend they reopened for Dine In... so yesterday MrD treated me to Lunch/Dinner at a Mexican place.. El Pescador Bar & Grill...just down the street

I wasnt sure how it would work with masks and social distancing.. but I neednt have worried. You had to wear a mask to enter.. then wait to be seated. Every other table had their chairs on them.. so at least 6ft between diners. Every member of staff wore a mask... but we could take ours off when we were seated. There were no physical menus.. you had to hold your phone camera over the barcode on the touchless one..and the menu appeared on your phone. Genius!. 

When taking the order and bringing our food .. the waitress stood well away from us.. And when people got up and left... their table..chairs and surrounding area was sanitized. This is the way to go... staying safe... while supporting local business and keeping people in work.

And the food? Absolutely delicious.. They brought warm torilla chips and salsa while we waited for our meal.. then we ordered two appetizers to share... Nachos..made with the most tender sliced steak.. and a Chicken Quesadilla... and they were huge.... Not too spicy.. well made.. definitely not low calorie ..and totally filling. I dread to think how big main meals would have been
