The Botanical Gardens

The weather has been glorious this weekend...so hubby surprised me with a trip out to the Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes.
It covers 87-acres and is one of the world’s first botanical gardens to be developed over a sanitary landfill.

There were so many wonderful flowers, plants and trees from all over the world...

and lots of different gardens like...

 The Japanese Garden...

complete with a Koi pond...and a few ducks

The Banyon Grove ... with its magnificent trees with their sprawling roots

The Desert Garden...

full of cacti, aloes and other succulents

And...would you believe... 'Phoebe's Meadow'...
I kid you not!

There was even a children's garden with whimsical characters,,,

including 'Pussy in the Well"

 I loved every second..

Plus... I walked 4 miles and was absolutely fine...
no aches or pains.

But I didnt push it as there is so much more to see...

so we will definitely be going back again

Love and Hugs
Phoebe x
