It was a wonderful day. The sun shone, the bride was radient, the groom so handsome, the ceremony was so touching, even the bridesmaids cried.

Im so happy my son has found someone I know will spend the rest of his life loving him, just as much as he loves her. And yes..I cried too

Summer is about to move on, what will you miss the most? And the least?

I will miss the summer flowers, and walking barefoot in fresh, green grass. I wont miss the very hot temperatures we have had this year...some days it was too hot to do anything

Are you currently working on any craft, sewing, DIY home, or any other creative project?

Not at the moment. Most of my craft supplies have been packed and are on the move to our new home. I cant wait to start my cross stitching again

If you could have any treatment at a spa for free, what would it be?

I'm on my feet a lot, so I would love to have a foot massage and pedicure. If they would throw in some pretty nail polish too, I would be extremely happy

 What's your favorite kind of pasta?

Now this is a difficult one. I love pasta. Its so easy and versatile so I haven't got a favourite variety. But one of my favourite dishes at the moment is Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Primavera. Mmmm!

Christmas in August????

This is sooooo cute, made from a store-bought cookie, large marshmallow, melted chocolate, and candy cane. I saw it and just had to share.

I know ...I know ...its still August. But did you know there are only 19 weeks til Christmas. So..if you love making handmade gifts, now is the time to start, if you haven't already.

Thats My Boy

I have my outfit, I have had my hair cut and two weeks today I will be travelling up to Newcastle for my eldest sons wedding. Not that anyone will be looking at me ...I hope. Its been a long time coming and Im so excited

Im so proud of My Boy. Hes has been through so much and worked so hard to get where he is today. And I could not wish for a better daughter in law. They are so happy. His only sadness is his grandparents, my mum and dad wont be there. But I know they will be looking down on him with pride.

 

When I was sent these photo proofs, I must admit I shed a tear. Thats ok, lets get them out of the way because I really dont want to be a blubbering fool on the 'Big Day'

So...congratulations Kellie and Jamie. I wish you every happiness in your lives together. I love you both very much

Here are this weeks questions. 

Do you have any type of air cleaner in your home?

No, but I think we should. I will put it on the 'To Do' list for the new house. I do love fresh air though. Living in Wales, I always had the windows open, even in the winter. And, I'm quite partial to lighting a few scented candles

What do you do with the spare change you accumulate in your car, purse, pockets, etc?

Put it in a little jar, save all year and use it towards Christmas. Every little helps..right?

What's one chore you wish you never had to do again?

I dont mind doing chores, but I guess the one I would like to get rid of, is cleaning the garbage bin..especially in high summer when they are extra smelly and attracting flies

Are you outgoing, quite, shy, reserved, or life of the party?

Until I know you, I am usually quiet and shy. At parties, Im usually the one helping in the kitchen

Have you understood your parents more as you've gotten older?

Yes definately. Although they are both gone now, their wisdom lingers on. Growing up, what I took as strictness, nagging, and saying no, was actually loving, caring and protecting. Im so grateful to them for shaping me  into the woman I am. And their legacy lives on in my children
